Coalition Files Lawsuit

The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action By Any Means Necessary filed a lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of Prop 2, claiming that it violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Prop 2, which was approved by wide margins in a statewide popular vote in Michigan amended the state constitution to prohibit racial discrimination in public education, employment, and contracting.
