Adam White

Adam White is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and co-executive director of the Antonin Scalia Law School’s C. Boyden Gray Center for the Study of the Administrative State. After clerking for Judge David Sentelle at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, he practiced administrative and constitutional law at Baker Botts LLP and Boyden Gray & Associates PLLC. He also serves on the boards of the Center for Constitutional Responsibility, Citizens for Legal Reform, and the Land Conservation Assistance Network; he previously served on the board of SpeechFirst.

He currently chairs the ABA’s Administrative Law Section and he is a senior fellow at the Administrative Conference of the United States. In 2021, President Biden appointed him to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States, where he was a vocal critic of proposals to “pack” the Supreme Court. Raised in eastern Iowa, he studied economics at the University of Iowa and law at the Harvard Law School.
