Rumsfeld v. FAIR
CIR submitted an amicusĀ brief to the United States Supreme Court urging it to uphold the Solomon Amendment, which requires colleges and universities to provide equal access to military recruiters as a condition of receiving federal funds. The brief notes that CIR’s landmark 1995 Supreme Court caseĀ Rosenberger v. University of Virigina, which rejected the view that public institutions may suppress expression of a particular point of view based solely on its content and/or the fact that administrators find it objectionable.
