Keara Vickers
Communications Director
Keara Vickers joined CIR as Communications Director in March of 2025.
Keara’s strategic communication plan for CIR reflects her nearly two decades of experience championing public interest work that makes a difference. Prior to joining CIR, Keara honed her skills at state organizations like the Georgia Public Policy Foundation as well as national public policy powerhouses like Reason Foundation and the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
While at CEI, Keara helped support many of the organization’s key litigation initiatives, including several Supreme Court cases. She is particularly proud of her work promoting class action fairness and FOIA/FOIL accessibility.
Keara received her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism.
Keara resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she and the love of her life are living out the Objectivist dream after founding an architecture and technology firm. When her hands aren’t typing at a keyboard, they’re likely to be covered in potting soil, threading an embroidery needle, or holding a glass of bourbon at her neighborhood pub.
